• Multi- disciplinary Colloquium held
• A Language Lab set up with 30 computers
• Funds generated by Rotaract Club was used to organize an Outreach Programme for the Aparna School for specially disabled
• The club also joined the Rotaract Club of Colombo for autistic children

•MA English Department signed a MOU with the University Hindu Indonesia, in Bali, Indonesia
• MA English Department in association with the UG English Department hosted Pro-Vice Chancellor, University of Queensland, Australia and Dr. Anita Heiss, Fiction and Non-Fiction Writer, University of Queensland, to an interactive session with the Faculty, PG and UG students. This program was organized in collaboration with the
Australian Embassy of India.

2002 • The First Law College for Women in the State of Karnataka – Bishop Cotton Women’s Christian Law College inaugurated
2000 • TANA BANA’ an ethnic fashion show was held to raise funds for the second phase of the college
• Inauguration of Y – Women’s unit of YWCA
• Launch of the Human Rights Education Program
1999 • Moved to the present location at CSI Compound, Mission Road
1992 • A carnival ‘COTTON SPREE’ was held in Bishop Cotton Boys’ School to raise funds for a new building
• Six students of the first batch of Bangalore University were Rank holders
1989 • The independent college building was inaugurated
• Dr. Nalinakshi Nirmal was appointed as the first Principal of the college
1987 • Bishop Cotton Women’s Christian College started in Bishop Cotton Girls’ School Campus
