The college has a unit of Young Women’s Christian Association. The unit in collaboration with YWCA, Bangalore takes up many community development programmes that promote the welfare of marginalised communities. The students take part in leadership training workshops and awareness programmes on social issues, reach out to the school kids and women in slums and try to educate them.

Y-unit Inauguration programmewas done on 26thAugust 2016. Students were made aware of Y-unit functioning and activities were planned for the year 2016-2017.
Echo Friendly Fashion Show On St.Joseph College 0n 17.08.2017 Dressed modestly echo friendly material was used and hand made by student . The student won consolation price for this competitaion.
World Day of prayer: 03 of march 2017
World day of prayer was held on 10 th march 2017 in mission compound YWCA office. Student form Y-unit attended the prayer day 20 student where present. Rev. Sanjay Samuel was invited as a special speaker for the day.
The prayer theme was mainly for Philippines country.

Inauguration of y unit was done on 26th august 2016. Students were given idea about Y-unit functioning and planned for the year 16-17.
Theme: “Women empowerment and Harassment”
The competition was held on 20 th January in Dept of physics. 12 student participated and won prize.

Suriname: All God’s creation is very good.
YWCA of Bangalore city organized world prayer day on 02.03.2018 for the country Suriname. On the theme All God’s creation is very Good. The speaker of the day was Ms. Sushanna, a doctoral student from United Theological College, Bangalore.

Rotary Bangalore peenya and Lions club of Bangalore pyramid jointly organized – 33rd Sir C.V Raman English and Prof. T. Reuben Kannada Collegiate Public Speaking Competition -2018 on 27.02.2018.
Our YWCA students were invited for the competition.
Ms. Shelrin III B.Com. and S. Jeba Jyothi III B.Com. participated and Ms. Shelrin won the consolation prize. Ms. S. Jeba Jyothi III B.Com C won the Best performer award
YWCA: Organized Solarium on Activity hour.
Mrs. Anitha from Campus crusade was invited to take the activity hour and enrich the student on 08.03. 2018
